Halloween Blog

It was the night of Halloween.  All the children had been preparing for this night for quite awhile.  People all through the neighborhood were setting up containers of candy. They all had signs that said, "ONLY TAKE ONE, PLEASE."  If only those children knew that their greed on this night would soon be punished.

So, as those children walked about the neighborhoods, their fate would soon be sealed.  One after another, those greedy children dug their hands into the bowls, completely ignoring the signs posted inches from their faces.  As the containers grew empty, and the childrens bags began to bulge, something peculiar happened.

First their bags broke from the weight of the multiplying candy.  The children, bewildered, stood there and looked at their growing mound.  It crept slowly towards them until one after another child was snatched into a thirty foot pile of candy.  Then, just as quickly as it came, it disappeared.  There was no trace of the candy or the children.  The children have not been seen or heard from since.  All of the other trick-or-treaters know now to only take one peice of candy or they may meet the same fate.

DREAMS

                                                                  DREAMS

Lennie and Geroge's dream is to own their own land and live off of it.  They would have many animals to raise and no one to tell them what they can and can't do.  I don't think their dream is realistic, because they need alot of money, and they don't have alot of it to get the land they want.  I do think it is important for people to have dreams for the future, so they can have something to work toward and achieve.  An example might be dreaming of going to their favorite college.  When others doubt those dreams, it may seem hard for you to achieve their goals.  If dreams go unfullfilled for a long time, you may just give up on and move on.  It may be better to hold on to a unrealistic dream when you're in a tough time. It might help you to focus on the dream and not on the hard times. An example would be if you lost your job.  The bills are coming in and things might seem hopeless, but holding on to a dream might give you the strength to keep going.
